Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Lupe Orosco; one son, Daniel Orosco and wife, Evelyn of Albuquerque, N.M.; one daughter, Prescilla Orosco of Pecos; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was born Oct. 15, 1923, in Columbus, N.M. and retired from work as a heavy equipment operator in the oilfield. For many years she was active in the Womens Division of the Pecos Chamber of Commerce, being actively involved in Golden Girl and Little Miss Cantaloupe. Hooker was preceded in death by one son, Dwight Hooker and Annice Hooker. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Marks Episcopal Church, 416 Plum Street, Pecos, Texas, 79772.
